Hakim Albasrawy (loosely translated it's Hakim from Basrah - a town in Iraq) is cofounder and CEO rightideasleft sdn bhd a KL based startup that works hard at making simple solutions to usually overlooked problems.

Currently focused on 3 main things, he splits his time between thisisbinding, a student thesis binding platform; his work with unreason, a not for profit movement aimed at making things work better in this world; also spending time on sharing what he has picked up at ideashare

Some know him as bouncy - cause he gets quite excited when conversing about new ideas and such. Always good for a laugh and to catch up for a mamak session. Can often be spotted at urekalabs buried in his laptop.

Casting Casting Call: The TED Prize team is producing a filmed reading for charterforcompassion.org. Volunteers needed:

Over the past year, the world was invited to contribute their words to the Charter for Compassion. Thousands of contributions from over 100 countries were received. Now, the Charter is complete, and we need your face to bring it to life for the November 12th unveiling.

We are seeking volunteers of all ages and ethnicities to spend a day with us reading the Charter text on camera. We would like to represent a group of people as diverse as those who participated in composing the Charter. Come have fun with us!

Shoot Date: Sunday, November 1
Shoot Time: 11 am - 2pm  (You don't have to attend the entire time.)
Shoot Location: TELL MEdia Studios, 1 Jalan SS7/10, Kelana Jaya, 47310 Petaling Jaya, Selangor map

Thanks for spreading the message chief. Just to clarify, we're not part of the TED prize team. but we're working with the Malaysian charter for Compassion Committee thats headed by Dr. Chandra Muzaffar. He was handed the rights to the charter by Karen Armstrong herself.
