Hakim Albasrawy (loosely translated it's Hakim from Basrah - a town in Iraq) is cofounder and CEO rightideasleft sdn bhd a KL based startup that works hard at making simple solutions to usually overlooked problems.

Currently focused on 3 main things, he splits his time between thisisbinding, a student thesis binding platform; his work with unreason, a not for profit movement aimed at making things work better in this world; also spending time on sharing what he has picked up at ideashare

Some know him as bouncy - cause he gets quite excited when conversing about new ideas and such. Always good for a laugh and to catch up for a mamak session. Can often be spotted at urekalabs buried in his laptop.

Bukapuasa bersama Sri Indah 2009

almost ritualistically every year the classmates descend on a particular location to break fast together. i don't think we meet up at any other time during the year, its at this time that everyone comes together to share stories about how they are doing/ who they are married to/ etc etc. 

when you think about it its really pretty interesting to see how your old mates have been and are doing now. if memory serves its been 7 years since we all parted ways (more for some) and its nice to see some old faces sometimes, increasingly difficult is it to hold on to relationships while ironically it is getting infinitely easier to keep in touch with people who have vague recollections of you.

an analogy would be "its easier to meet people, but more difficult to know someone new"

i just want to take the chance to thank http://www.facebook.com/aainaa.mastura for putting this whole thing together (without whom we would surely would not find the energy to organize something like this)
